I have finished an alpha version of a programme that translates gabc
files to standard abc and outputs also (through abc2midi) a midi file.
It can be useful for musicological purposes (many scholars prefer to
quote Gregorian chant fragments or even whole compositions using the
modern 5-lines staff) and practical uses.

I would like to know if I am allowed to post the programme to some
"gregorio" archive and if there are kind people willing to test this
alpha version. WARNING! At the moment the programme is linux (and
bash) only but I can easily provide an adaptation to Windows. About
Macs, I think that, since the shell is bash, it should work with
little need of adaptations.

Best regards,
Guido Milanese
