Follow-up Comment #1:
Commit 798 adds the macros \setsecondannotation (making a second line of
annotation) and \setaboveinitialseparation (to set the separation space
between the first and second line). Also the macro \setfirstannotation is
provided by this commit; it is a wrapper for \setfirstlineaboveinitial, with
only one argument.
