Dear Elie,

Thank you for the response! I will test the latest version when I get home
this evening.

I am building out a web interface for writing and archiving chant and have
decided to use the standards developed by Gregorio. My original intention
with using GregorioXML was to take advantage of the semantic markup.

I was wondering if GregorioXML doesn't get much attention and am glad you
confirmed that for me! Besides that fact, I was also noticing that a GABC
file of the chants were around 4000% smaller than their XML counterparts. I
decided to refactor my approach and to use the GABC directly without XML
conversion. My code is more complex now since I have to parse out the GABC,
but I am more confident in handling the raw GABC format instead of
performing all of the conversions.

What do you see as the future of the GregorioXML format?

Thanks again, Elie!

Matthew Gonzalez
