Follow-up Comment #2, bug #21876 (project gregorio):
I knew about \greblockcustos but as you state it, it's indeed not
temporary...
One could also just typeset each verse separately... it would be easier than
placing all custos by hand and they would stay at the end of the line, which
isn't the case when you use [a-m]+
Another way to see it might be adding something like z- that would insert a
line jump without custos...
