So, I had a chance to play a bit more with the function and determined
that what I thought it was doing is not what it's actually doing. I'm
still not sure exactly what's happening, but at least I know the problem
is in my own thinking.
If someone who knows what the behavior is can describe it more
thoroughly for me, I'd much appreciate the time saver. In the mean
time, I'll schedule myself for more experimentation with it when I get
the chance.
