Yes, but it doesn't. I must admit I have seen this bug once, but I 
haven't noted it, so I haven't fixed it, thank you for making me remember!

Anyway, it's better to typeset it this way: qua(ixi), the alignment 
should be alright.

Yes, I'm working a lot on LaTeX support for LuaTeX in TeXLive 2009, so 
that gregorio users can use their files through pdflualatex instead of 
lamed + dvipdfm, so I haven't had time to work on gregorio. The plan is 
to release 0.9.3 with three bug fixes: the bug you just reported, the 
horizontal episemus above a space, and the possibility to put a clef 
with one flat. I don't know when I'll do it, but I think it will be 
ready in two weeks or a month...

You can do it with \Rbar \Vbar , etc. in LaTeX (IIRC).
