Greetings
I have been creating a booklet of chant for the Monastic Office as a series of subroutines. Some of the chants are used in more than one place so this is useful.
Some of the chants use the \setfirstlineaboveinitial and some don't.
My problem: For two of my chants, when I return to them, the neumes are displaced approx 2 lines higher than they should be until a z is encountered.
When I run deusinadjlent at the beginning of the booklet all is fine.
When it is run in the middle, the displacement occurs. The next chant is the hymn rectorpotens which seems to have the same problem until the z. The preceding chant, displayed correctly, is benedicamus. However at the end of the booklet the hymn after benedicamus displays correctly.

I am a newbie to LaTex so it could be my coding.
Any suggestions will be most gratefully received.
I can send the files to anyone who would like to look at them if that would help.

And I checked there was no space between the \setfirst.. and the \includescore.

"I will now appeal to the artist that is within every one of us. Art, as you know, is the right way of making a good thing. There is no right way of making a bad things. Not only something, but make something-a cup of tea, a boiled egg, a hatpeg (from a fallen branch), a chair!" -Vincent McNabb
