Perhaps this one should be subtitled "A Comedy of Errors"

After thinking back on what I did to install 1.0 on the iMac, I realized I did
not run "install.py" on the iMac so that is the source of the missing fonts on
the iMac. At least I think that is the case. It is possible the 1.0 install
script failed (see below) and I did not catch it.

As to the 1.0 Mac update itself, there are two issues I have confirmed. First,
I found that the installer does not overwrite an existing ~/Documents/Gregorio
folder. I discovered this when I double checked the ~/Documents/Gregorio
folders on the laptop and the iMac. The laptop originally had a 0.9.2 install.
The iMac originally had a 1.0 install. The dates on the laptop showed Jan 8
2009, despite the fact that I had run the 1.0 installer. The dates on the iMac
are Oct/Nov. To get 1.0 to install over 0.9.2 on the laptop, I had to
physically delete the old ~/Documents/Gregorio folder and then run the 1.0
installer. Once I did this, the 1.0 files appeared.

Now the second issue was that the installation script, "install.py", fails on
1.0. It gives the error message:

No such file or directory: '../tex/gregoriotex-ictus.lua'

Indeed, gregoriotex-ictus.lua is missing from the 1.0 installer. So I got a
copy of gregoriotex-ictus.lua from svn, dropped it into ../tex and reran. The
install worked fine once the missing file was supplied.

I then tried the examples with lualatex. There were some error messages when I
ran lualatex on the example files as it. However, I reran gregorio on the gabc
file and then reran lualatex and it was happy. So, lualatex works on Snow
Leopard for 1.0 on my laptop

I went back to the iMac and removed texlive and Gregorio. I did a fresh install
of texlive2009 and then 1.0. I added the missing gregoriotex-ictus.lua and ran
install.py. The install went fine. However, for reasons I do not understand,
lualatex is not picking up the fonts. lamed is working, but lualatex is not. I
will continue to investigate why.

Lastly, poking through the users threads, I see that Gregorio supports in-line
translations. Whoever added that, a thousand thanks! You have made my life
easier.
