Gregorio is getting some attention this week at the 2012 Sacred Music
Colloquium, the annual event sponsored by the Church Music Association of
America. The week-long practicum on sacred music is underway at the Madeleine
Choir School and the Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City.

Choir director Aristotle Esguerra presented an instructional beginners' class
on using Gregorio through the web, by means of Adam Bartlett's web service at
illuminarepublications.com.

Also, a new book of responsorial psalms in English, engraved with Gregorio,
went on sale at the Colloquium. "Parish Book of Psalms" by Arlene Oost-Zinner
is a complete collection of over 200 psalm settings for the Sunday Mass, the
Paschal Triduum, and major solemnities, according to the Lectionary in use in
the U.S. The book contains Oost-Zinner's original antiphons in plainchant
style, with psalm verses set to Gregorian tones. Ben Yanke and I produced the
necessary gabc files and processed them to make the book's 450 pages.

A colophon page in the back of the book credits Gregorio, with a special tip of
the hat to developer Élie Roux.
