1. My answer I accidentally sent only Br. Athanasius instead of the whole

Unsuccessfull attempts to make gregorio running in Debian stable was the
main reason for my upgrade to Wheezy in June. In Wheezy gregorio works very
well, "from the box". (If I remember well, the core of the problem was in
Squeeze having a too old version of TeXLive.)

But I am more a "Debian lame" than "Debian mage", hopefully some of the
"mages" will help you to have gregorio running in your Squeeze without
upgrading.

2. To Mrs. Brandt's message below: In Debian Wheezy gregorio and all it's
prerequisities are packaged properly and work out of the box. Just
"aptitude install gregorio" and everything works well.
