Dear Michael,

1. The ability to align multiple lines of text in normal type under
the neums - for example, every two lines of a Sequence that use the
same melody (and with that the ability to do a brace over the text,
and a repeat sign in the staff); or simply for a hymn. With people
unfamiliar with the chant, it's hard to look up and down from text to
tune, but it also takes *much* more space to write a hymn out in full.

I am not sure it's an easy task, but I think it has its place in the development of Gregorio. Can you send me an scanned example so that I see what you mean more precisely please?

2. The ability to introduce complete blank space into a line. For
example, having a line end part way across the page with a double bar,
and then right align a new staff with "A-men." on the same line - to
indicate that it belongs, but does not *immediately* follow.

I have to say I didn't really understand this... would you have a picture for this too?

Thank you!

Elie
