If you are using Windows, you should try out the new greg
program.
You can get it here: http://www.sspxusa.org/goodies/#greg
It is packed with options and will allow you to easily
compile your gabc files without doing any commandline work.
The interface is drag-n-drop.
It includes a token-replacement system, too, whereby you can
work with re-usable templates.
It doesn't include a text editor, but, thanks to Father
Peron, it has several options to convert your gabc files to
midi files and play them for you.
I would be pleased for y'all to try it out.
So far there are only a few users, so there may be some bugs
left crawling around.
