Hello!

It would be impossible to list the exact commands, but once I discovered the
git repository, I followed to the letter the directions on this webpage:

    gregorio-project.github.io/installation-linux.html

with the exception that I am using Fedora, so I had to figure out the missing
packages a little differently, using the program Apper.

Before discovering the git repository, I had tried simply to download the 3.0.0
on github. (Unlike 2.4.3 comes with no warning that it is nonfunctional, and I
expected the development version to be broken, as often happens with
open-source projects.) Once I discovered I needed flex, 3.0.0 installed just
fine, but for missing the file Élie mentioned, so that something broke down
when I ran lualatex.

Before discovering the github repository, I had tried to download some version
from the old gna webpage, whose download page is discoverable from search
engines. Compilation didn't work because I lacked flex, and didn't think to
check it until this time, when it occurred to me that a problem compiling
unknown "yy" commands might be related to that.

So, it's quite possible I have an invalid file hanging around somewhere which
is messing things up, but I don't know what it is, and it is impossible to list
the commands taken. I've worked on this 3 times over a period of weeks.

>Which version of TeX Live are you using?

2013

>Also, what is the output of kpsewhich -var-value TEXMFLOCAL ?

/usr/share/texlive/texmf-local//

(The double slash is curious.)
