Just downloaded the tar.gz and

> sudo ./install.sh

Failed to install GregorioTeX.  Did you forget to run as root?

so I tried: cp fonts/Makefile.in fonts/Makefile
and tried  sudo ./install.sh
and all worked:

Installing GregorioTeX
Installing in '/usr/local/share/texmf'.
texhash: Updating /usr/local/share/texmf/ls-R...
texhash: Updating /var/lib/texmf/ls-R-TEXLIVEMAIN...
