Dear all, may be it's my fault but I followed the instructions in the macosx page of the Gregorio 4.0.0 frozen version, that apparently contains a little aupgrade made two days ago. "Unfortunately" I upgraded my computer to El Capitan (OS 10.11), where the /usr folder is not accessible any more even with root prriviledges. This was a problema also for the running version of MacTeX (TeXLive 2015) and some adjustments had to be made in order to have the TeX software work again.

"Packages" is already installed in the Xcode software (apparently).

I have "Pandoc" installaed on my Mac, but this is irrelevant, because when I lounch create_packages.sh with super-user priviledges (it's necessary to access TEXMFLOCAL, which is the platform wide local TeXLive tree and it requires super-user priviledges) it wants to find "Autotools" that are not part of the OS software any more.

I think that the instructions and the software/scripts to install the macosx version of gregorio 4.x.x should be updated at the light of the new operaing system changes.

I have no hurgence for myself, but as an assumed TeXpert (which I am not), I am supporting a Benedictine nun who is working very hardly on an Antiphonarium and I can't support her if I can't use the gregorio software.

I suppose I am not the only Mac user who updated to El Capitan; any action on the gregorio macosx software would be appreciated not only by myself but also by the other Mac users.

Thank you very much and God bless you for the excellent work you are doing for the benefit, mostly but not only, of the many monasteries around the world.

Claudio Beccari
