I've done some testing and figured out that the change in behavior was
introduced by 4.0.1 where we fixed the persistence of the
`\greseteolcustos` setting between scores. This changed the way the
setting worked and thus broke this hack.
We're working on implementing a gabc syntax for directly controlling
whether a custos is printed with a manual line break or not, but in the
mean time, you can make the hack work with the following:
In your gabc file change the macro definitions to the following:
def-m1:\greusemanualeolcustos;
def-m2:\greuseautoeolcustos;
In your project file add the following to your preamble:
\makeatletter
\let\greusemanualeolcustos\gre@usemanualeolcustos
\let\greuseautoeolcustos\gre@useautoeolcustos
\makeatother
This will give you direct access to the internals which actually hide
and show the custos, instead of trying to manipulate them indirectly via
the public setting.
