The problem is that LuaLaTeX cannot find the gtex file. So, does the
file exist?
Based on the beginning of the log, greg-book did not find any files for
compiling itself so either those gtex files already exist and are up to
date (according to greg-book) or the greg-book detection algorithm is
being thrown off by the optional argument. I'm in the middle of
preparing a release and cannot dive into the repository history until
that's done, but once I've posted the release I'll take a closer look.
