 I'm afraid it doesn't yet ! At least for the "Quantité d'engrais" label ! I 
have the same trouble !
 By the way, when Gretl automatically computes/ transforms variables --such as 
log, squared and so on -- it adds a description; Could be possible to set the 
display name as well ?
