I've now (in today's snapshot) tried a new build of the GTK stack, sticking more closely to the recipe used in building the "known good" version supplied with gretl 1.9.12. If the problem is a bug in the newer library code, this won't help. But if there was something not quite right in my build of the code, maybe it'll fix the problem. Allin
