Ah, that's good to hear! In the latest snapshot I reverted libcairo to the version that was in the 1.9.12 release. I found a few hints via google that newer cairo might be a problem on some Windows systems (though unfortunately no details on what exactly the problem is). BTW, many thanks to all who tested on XP.
