Yes. But your biggest problem will be the dependencies. You will need, for example, a working implementation of the whole blas/atlas/lapack stack, fftw3 for Fourier transforms, and other bits here and there. And that's for the command-line client. Plus GTK for the graphical client. Good luck with that. I don't mean to discourage you, but if you manage to build gretl on Chrome OS you'll have accomplished quite a feat.
