I think it was done to avoid breaking the API.
Point is that GrlMediaType was added later, because using GrlTypeFilter
instead was a bit weird; not weird because of the data type itself, but
because of the name: weird that getting supported media were returning a
filter :)
In any case, I hope that in a future breaking-API release we can merge
both of them in only one type.
