Hi You may have known that the kernel that grml 0.7 uses is venerable. Recently an official Debian Server was compromised because of it.
The venerable exists in the Linux kernel 2.6.13 up to versions before 2.6.17.4, and 2.6.16 before 2.6.16.24, both of which were released on 2006-07-06. For details, check out http://lists.debian.org/debian-news/debian-news-2006/msg00030.html and http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2006/07/msg00056.html For the fix. please refer to http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/418 HTH tong _______________________________________________ Grml mailing list - [email protected] http://lists.mur.at/mailman/listinfo/grml join #grml on irc.freenode.org grml-devel-blog: http://grml.supersized.org/
