Just copy/paste the selection and run:

  apt-cache show $SELECTION

But if there's enough space for descriptions I'll add them next

GNU grep:

  grep --color=auto ....

Enabled by default for users (but not root).

It breaks many systems when using [xkg]dm. If you really need it
install it.

It's unmaintained and has some annoying bugs.
Use parted instead, of you really think you need a graphical
frontend install gparted.

Useless on the live-CD and even useless for 99% of all
grml2hd-installations. If you really need it you can install it on
your own, you might also want to take a look at aide.
