:-) Reason is that I older versions are simply buggy -- groff is an
extreme torture test for texinfo, and I still have to postprocess the
data to get decent output.  Sigh.

Thanks for noticing.  My last change has broken the `install' target.
I've fixed it now, in a different way: The documentation files are now
installed in more sensible subdirectories.
