the build of the git repository fails on NetBSD 6.1.5:
$ make

I did install autoconf, automake, libtool, then ./bootstrap, ./configure, make.
./configure did not complain.
$ g++ --version
g++ (NetBSD nb2 20110806) 4.5.3
