I have no objection to changing this. But I observe that the file we call(ed) tmac/hyphenex.us comes from TeX (http://ctan.org/pkg/hyphenex), where it's billed explicitly as "Exceptions for American English hyphenation patterns." While the overwhelming majority of these are sure to be valid in non-US variants of English, other such Englishes appear to be beyond the file's intended scope.
