My preference is the same, retire -e (no-op), and change gropdf to always 
embed (if at all possible) so if gropdf is in basic mode it can't embed but 
won't squawk about it. If new flag -E is given the base-14 fonts won't be 
embedded (as now without -e flag), so users can generate the smallest valid 
pdf even if gropdf is in intermediate/full mode (where base-14 fonts will now 
be embedded). -E does nothing in basic mode since there are no real fonts to 
embed.
