This was another problem exposed by Alexis that prompted a fix, pushed to our Git repository post the 1.25.0.rc1 tag. https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/groff-commit/2026-07/msg00155.html If you or I roll a distribution archive from that git commit ID, per my previous mail, you should find the problem resolved.
