So using the name g-shut.
I think "g-shut" should be changed through the document to GRACEFUL_SHUTDOWN. If we study the registry at https://www.iana.org/assignments/bgp-well-known-communities/ it is clear that the convention is to use uppercase and a _ (underscore) separator. I also do not see a compelling reason to use an abbreviation, as the tradeful is saving a few bytes vs readability for novice users. The concept described in the document is called "graceful shutdown", not "g-shut", the community name should simply reflect that. Changing the name through the document will help popularise the idea, since then the name of the concept and the name of the community are aligned with each other letter wise. RTGDIR / OPSDIR / IESG are likely to be picky about it anyway, better to preempt that. :) Kind regards, Job ps. The "ACCEPT-OWN" community seems to be mistakingly listed the way it is, and should be "ACCEPT_OWN" as that is what RFC 7611 requested from IANA. I've notified the relevant AD. _______________________________________________ GROW mailing list [email protected] https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/grow
