Dear all,

                        Spring cleaning notice!!!

There are a number of long expired internet-drafts associated to the
GROW working group. Our Area director asked us to evalulate this list
and consider perhaps marking a number of documents as 'dead'. The phrase
"dead" in this context means:

"The Working Group (WG) document has been abandoned by the WG. No
further development is planned in this WG. A decision to resume work
on this document and move it out of this state is possible."
        source: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/help/state/draft-stream-ietf/

The GROW chairs made the following selection of drafts, focusing on
documents that have been expired for more than 10 years. We think it
would appropriate to mark the following documents as abandoned:

QUESTION TO THE GROUP: Are you OK with us marking the above listed
drafts as 'dead'? Is there anything in the above list you'd like to
re-energize?

Note that marking these documents as abandoned ('dead') has NO bearing
on the value of the ideas expressed in these drafts. For example, it
could be that a draft would be a better fit for another WG, or needs to
be recontextualized to modern day methodologies. Also note that if there
is interest in a particular draft or topic, the WG can ALWAYS revisit
such a draft and change the status!

Our goal here is to prune documents for which we do not expect progress,
the goal is not to prune all expired documents.

Kind regards,

Job & Paolo
GROW co-chairs
