Reusing known working code is always a good thing. If you're OK with
putting it under the BSD license we use, then yes, we'd love to use
your code for this.
I'm guessing your code is only for toggling the click-opacity of the
window, so for the larger feature, I've also created a blueprint:

I'm not sure how useful that is at the moment. I think we need set up
a semi-private (rw-rw-r--, so to speak) wiki somewhere, so that we can
link blueprints to its pages.
