I'm sorry to start yet another thread about some app's Growl notifications not working, but I've been scouring the web looking for a solution to this with no luck. It's very frustrating. I'm using Growl 1.1.4 and I've gotten notifications to work with some apps like Twitterrific. My default style is Smoke and I can preview it just fine. I want to get notifications from Firefox 3.0.4 (it's in the list of registered applications and enabled), but I get nothing. I tried deleting Firefox from my Applications and re-installing it, but that didn't help. (Is that the same as uninstalling? I'm fairly new to Mac OS X. I wanted to preserve my firefox profile if possible.)
I'm on Mac OS X 10.5.5. I've never installed any other version of Growl, so I don't think this is a mult-version problem. I read in another forum post that Firefox only sends a notification when all downloads are complete. I've tried downloading a decent size file so that it takes several seconds and the progress bar shows up, but still nothing on completion. I had previously installed the Download Statusbar 0.9.6.3 Firefox add-on and I disabled it thinking it might be interfering, but that didn't change anything either. Any ideas of what else I could try? Thanks in advance! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Growl Discuss" group.
