Well, um, *I* promise to use it for good instead of evil. Personally I'm playing with some workflows with the utility Proxi (which I think is amazingly useful), including a lot of automation for keeping track of and viewing messages and updates from various sources. So I want a way to clear notices that have been posted while away from my computer in the same script that is showing me the things I've missed.
I don't know how easy it would be, but perhaps an AppleScriptCommand that lets you dismiss notices on a per-source-app basis would alleviate your fears, although I would still want there to be an "all" option for some things.
