Yes, the WinSwitch Message window is what it looked like, only without
text or "x" button.
At any rate, the problem is gone, and I'm getting a MacBook Pro in 2
months (or whenever 10.6 comes out) so I won't be on this computer
much longer. At that point the iBook will be wiped, recieve a fresh
install of 10.4.11, and be given to my mom. Thanks for all the help!
