Am I correct to conclude from this response that we are guaranteed
that there will never, ever, ever be another Tiger-compatible update
of Growl, no matter what?

(If this is correct, that's fine.  I just want to be sure that, if I
turn off the updater, then I'm not going to end up missing a critical
update at some point in the future.  If it's not correct, then please
consider creating a Tiger-targeted 1.1.7 update with the updater
modified to ignore any versions numbered 1.2 or later so that those of
us who don't care about Cupertino's latest-and-greatest can still stay
on top of any future releases of Growl that may be available to us.)
