I'm finding Growl Menu (and another app, AppTrap) are both using immensely large amounts of virtual memory (34.91GB exactly), right from startup. Upon clicking "inspect" in Activity Monitor, both bump down to 8.35GB, which is still larger than any other app.
Why I feel the need to mention AppTrap? Because both function as System Preference panes, both launch on startup, and both also bring up a SystemFlippers error in console logs. Whatever's ailing them is tied together somehow. The Console error: 10/10/09 10:21:10 PM [0x0-0x21021].com.Growl.MenuExtra[237] SystemFlippers: didn't consume all data for long ID 0 (pBase = 0x10011d560, p = 0x10011d564, pEnd = 0x10011d568) 34.91GB can NOT be normal virtual memory usage for a menubar itm. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Growl Discuss" group.
