Actually it could be a couple of different things. I had my doc configured
auto hidden on the left to begin with but moved that to the bottom of my
screen halfway through the tinkering. Also just before things started
working I went into the Growl Preferences and manually set the starting
position for each application, overriding the default. Theres a chance it
could be either of those two things or a combination. I will take some time
tomorrow night if possible to run through a few different scenarios and see
if I can reproduce it. If it ends up being something that seems related to
growl i'll post detailed steps to reproduce, otherwise i'll shoot a report
over to the dropbox clan.

But right now im off to hit the sack, thanks again you were extremely
helpful.
