We're working on entirely redoing networking. This is a good point,
however I don't know if how you suggest to do it is the best thing to
do. Hostnames aren't limited to just 3 characters, and could take up
half if not more of the title field.
Thanks for the suggestion, it's worth adding to the list of things to
consider for GNTP.

Putting it differently, notifications on the local machine remain the
same, but notifications from a remote machine should include something
like the following at the top of the notification, "Remote
notification from XYZ" (where XYZ is the remote machine name).
