The failure to load is a bug that we've fixed for 1.2.1. In that
version, MailMe will log a generic message (“No suitable SMTP account
found”) to the Console for every notification.
What happens when MailMe tries to send in that case?
It doesn't, since it isn't loaded.
I'm not sure exactly what happens when a notification that would
normally go to MailMe comes in. What *should happen* (i.e., the
correct behavior, regardless of current implementation) is that if
MailMe is a notification-specific or application-specific display,
Growl falls back on the default display, and if MailMe is the default
display, Growl falls back on the default default display, which is
Smoke.
