The problem isn't what port your ISP uses; it's what ports your ISP allows. Some ISPs don't allow connections on port 25 to anywhere but their own mail server, ostensibly to prevent their users from sending spam.
At any rate, as long as you're using SMTP over SSL (which you should be), you're not using port 25, and the port setting is among the settings MailMe gets from Mail.
