You would have to reimplement Growl on linux. I'd be afraid to do it
somewhat due to the plethora of window manager/desktop environments out
there and trying to conform to their rules, but I don't see why it can't be
done.

If you are asking us to do it, at this time it's not something we have the
manpower to even think of.
