I have this same issue...looks like a bug to me.  Its happening even
when the interface is not connected so its not related to actual
changes in link status.  Making the service inactive is a workaround,
but then you have to activate it every time you need the interface.

This software is free and its GREAT so I want to thank the
developers.  It would be even greater if you guys could come up with a
fix for this.  I'd really appreciate it and I'm sure everyone else
with the latest MBP hardware would too.
