I use the "Observation Post" app, which provides Growl notification for mounted disk images, USB devices & network services. It can also be useful for troubleshooting Bonjour-related networking issues. But OP sends a separate Growl alert for each Bonjour service. If you are subscribed to 6 different Bonjour services on a machine, when it connects Growl will attempt to play the same alert sound on 6 virtual channels simultaneously. While it helps to see a visual notification for each Bonjour service, it does not help to play the same alert 6 times. My opinion is that Growl should not generate more than one event sound for simultaneous alerts of the same kind originating from the same application. I think duplicate audio alerts from the same app that occur within a 1 or 2 second time window should probably be discarded.
