Hi Peter - the issue referred to was the fact that to access Growl Prefs you had to re-start System Prefs in 32-bit mode (on Snow Leopard anyway). But in my case it was crashing System Prefs, so I could never access it. I did not realise there was a 1.2 update. OK - that update works perfectly. Thanks Bruce
