Thats basically what happens for me as well, when you select fromt the growl sounds drop down it plays fine. But throws the error when trying to play when trigged by a notification. Im guessing when you select from the drop down growl plays the sound itself, but on notification growl tries to use the system sound effects or something to play the file?
