You can change this in your preferences. Find whatever application is emitting these notifications in the Applications list in Growl's preferences, double-click that application there, choose the contact-signed-off notification, and uncheck its Sticky checkbox (or do the reverse for contact-signed-on—whichever you want). > (2) Overnight, my screen is covered with hundreds of notifications (signed > ON and signed OFF and so on), which I can't close out. You can change this in your preferences. It's the “Leave notifications on screen after ____ seconds of inactivity” setting. > Then I must REBOOT to clear the screen. Or hold down option and click the close box of any of the notifications. This is the standard Close All gesture that all Human-Interface-Guidelines-conformant applications support. None of these things are recent changes, and the first thing is most probably the default settings provided by whatever application is sending the notifications. The alternative possibility is that you changed one of them to be sticky and not the other, then forgot—it happens. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Growl Discuss" group.
