I think s/he means the radar, a.k.a. spinner, formerly chasing arrows control.

Machead: Growl doesn't do that sort of thing, for a couple of reasons:

1. Growl does not tell you anything (aside from available updates to itself) on 
its own; applications use Growl to tell you things. In your case, Front Row 
would have to request this.
2. Growl exists not to tell you that something *is happening*, but that 
something *has happened*. It displays notifications, not progress.

If such a feature existed, it would be in Front Row, and would not require 
Growl. You might send feedback to Apple to request it:
