To confirm that it works, I did the following: * downloaded and installed latest Zimbra Desktop
* added my gmail account * set Preferences -> Mail check show a popup notification save (also Preferences -> Calendar if you want that) * Check the Growl preferences applications tab to make sure that Zimbra Desktop appeared and is checked. (it was) * sent myself a message, and saw the notification appear; very obvious that it was Zimbra and not my Mac Mail client, because the notification had the Zimbra icon in it.
