Further to the thread on update warnings appearing everyday - I don't believe the reasons (and solutions) given thus far are correct.
Running Mac OS X 10.6.5 with Growl v1.2 - I was getting the update notification everyday, following the instructions to click on the window, etc. nothing happened, as in, Growl was not updated. Manually seeking out the update, downloading and installing (without the need to uninstall) appears to have cured the problem (because it is up to date now) can't wait to see what happens with the next update!!
